Mental Health & Wellbeing at Carrwood

We are proud to announce that we are now a myHappymind Bronze Accredited school!
This means that as a school we consider the mental health and wellbeing of our children as one of our top priorities. We have created a whole school culture that helps build our children’s resilience, confidence and self-esteem as well as teaching them how to self-regulate in those stressful times.
This Accreditation badge has been awarded thanks to all the effort our staff, children, governors and parents have put in to bring the lessons of myHappymind to life all around our school!

Our schools’ programmes give children the preventative strategies, skills and tools they need to thrive in the modern world.
‘Our science-backed programmes help to prepare today’s children for tomorrow’s world by building resilient, balanced and happy minds at home and school.’
We are proud to be a ‘MyHappymind’ School. Our children use the knowledge and skills provided by the programme to support their day-to-day resilience and mental health.

What does low intensity mean?
Low intensity treatment will involve a number of focused sessions of individual/group face-to-face or virtual therapy.
Offering low intensity treatment first means we are able to:
- offer help to more young people
- offer help more quickly
- offer early intervention, before problems build up
- provide practical homework and techniques that you can use at home, both on your own and with your family
If you are concerned about your child’s emotional or mental health, please get in touch with their class teacher.
