We are very proud of our NEWS-COOL Media Studio which is a state of the art media room with computers, green screen technology and our very own radio hub. Through NEWS-COOL@Carrwood, we aim to help pupils make use of the exciting equipment and resources available to them. Children are encouraged to develop and use a range of personal and interpersonal skills including questioning, research, production, oracy and presentation.
Through NEWS-COOL@Carrwood, our intention is to foster and develop our pupils’ curiosity and imagination.
We work to prepare our pupils for success in an ever-developing technology and media-driven world and to teach them the skills and knowledge that they could use in their future lives and work. We develop learners who are both comfortable with modern media skills and excited by the possibilities of technology.
Wherever possible, media and technology links are made with class topics and current issues in society. We enable exposure and success across the different ages, abilities and individual needs of our pupils.
