Hello and welcome to Blossom Nursery!
Our class teacher is Mrs Cooper. In Nursery we are happy, kind and always excited to learn. We aim to be experts at sharing, taking turns, being kind to others and solving our own problems. We pride ourselves on having high expectations of the children and in Blossoms we introduce and follow the 3 school rules; Be Ready, Be Respectful and Be Safe.
Nursery Offer:
We currently offer all children, of Nursery age, 15 hours per week, through morning or afternoon sessions. Our morning session runs from 8:45am – 11:45am and our afternoon session runs from 12:15pm – 3:15pm. Working parents who meet the governments criteria could be entitled to an extra 15 hours of free childcare under the 30 hours free childcare funding. Children who qualify for this would complete a full day at school, from 8:45am – 3:15pm. More information on this can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare
Your child’s Key Person is Mrs Cooper but you can speak to any member of staff about your child and their learning as we are a team.
How we learn:
Children in the EYFS learn by playing and exploring, being active, and through creative and critical thinking which all take place both indoors and outdoors. The curriculum for early years is made up of seven areas of learning, which are then broken down into seventeen aspects. By the end of their Reception Class year, it is expected that children reach the Early Learning Goal (ELG) for each of these aspects. What do we need?
- We ask that the children bring their book bags to school daily and on Mondays we change the children’s reading for pleasure library books.
- Please always send your child to school with a coat and sturdy shoes or boots as we use our outdoor learning environment every day, whatever the weather!
- Please send your child with a bag containing a change of clothes should they have an accident or get a bit soggy! If your child is not yet toilet trained, they will also need nappies and wipes brought in their bag too.
- Children can bring their own water bottle from home with their name clearly written on the bottle. We have daily snack of toast, milk and fruit.
The Nursery Team work had to make sure the children are happy, engaged and enjoy coming to nursery. We operate an open-door policy and a member of staff is always available to talk to you about your child.

Families and Young Persons Information is a new impartial service which offers advice and information. They can signpost to support and advice for children, young people and families within the Bradford district. There is information which can support a variety of different aspects of life including SEND advice, baby groups and Family Hubs.
